Cheryl L. Skinner, 77, of Nokomis, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family
Services for Mrs. Skinner will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Cheryl was born November 21, 1944 to Norma (Carlock) and Cledis Sanders who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of the Nokomis High School with the class of 1962 and was of the Baptist faith. She and John W. Skinner were married June 6, 1962 and he preceded her in death on September 9, 2020.
Mrs. Skinner was a homemaker and her greatest love was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to sit on her porch and visit with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters Kimberlee (Jim) Wilson and Julee (Kelly) Johnson both of Nokomis; 3 grandchildren, Shaylee Wilson, Kacey Johnson and Jayme Johnson, 2 great grandchildren, Lilah Watkins and Wesley Watkins and her brother, Alan L. (Kristy) Sanders of Nokomis.
In addition to her husband and her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Diana Hertz and brother, Brian Sanders.
