Bill Dean Harris Jr.

Bill Dean Harris Jr. 61 of Witt died on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 1:41 p.m. in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield surrounded by his family.

Bill Dean was born May 12, 1957 to Bill Dean Sr. and Anna Hicks Harris.  He lived most of his life in Witt. He graduated from Witt High School in1975. He married Regina Bain and she survives. He worked at Echlin Dana as a tool grinder for 27 years. He then worked at Pittsburgh Pipe where he was a quality control administrator. He was an outstanding Lions Club member for many years where he also was president for 3 years. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, the lake and the outdoors. He is survived by his wife Regina, a son James Dean(Danielle) Harris, a daughter Erica Harris, mother Anna Harris, siblings Wayne(Debbie) Harris, Deana (Edward) Ettling, Jeffrey Harris, Melody (Pete) Cesaretti, Terry (Colleen) Harris, grandchildren Morgan Leigh, Maliah Harris, Brendan Johnson, Jasper Dean Altevogt, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his sister Vickie Cranmer and father Bill Dean Harris Sr. There will be no funeral services at this time, but a celebration of life is being planned at later date.  Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Witt is in charge of arrangement.  Cremation rites we Mr. Harris’ wishes.  Memorials may be directed to the family.

A Celebration of Life in Bills honor is planned for Saturday, March 23rd at 4:00 pm in the Witt Lions Building.
