Bert H. Eickhoff 60 of Nokomis passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 6:55 pm in Hillsboro Area Hospital. The son of Jerry and Joy (Shaw) Eickhoff he was born July 20, 1960 in Artesia, New Mexico. They survive together in Artesia. He married Carol Lekar July 24, 1982 in Ellisville, MO. She survives as do children Jessica (Mike) Cervi of Edwardsville, IL, Sarah (Waylon) Martin of Pleasant Hope, MO., Joseph Eickhoff of St. Louis, MO., Joshua Eickhoff of Nokomis, grandchildren Elliott, Jim and Silas Cervi and Noah Martin, siblings Dawn (Hammond) Buck of South Thomaston, Maine, Michael (Margo) Eickhoff of Odesa, TX, John (Michelle) Eickhoff of Indian Hills, Colorado. Bert was preceded in death by an infant brother Chris Edward Lee Harris and his biological father Jerry Lee Harris.
Bert attended Artesia public schools until his senior year, then attended St. Paul's College High, Concordia, MO. graduating in 1978. He attended St. Paul's Jr. College in Concordia, MO.then transferring to Concordia, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, graduating in1981. He attended Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO. graduating in 1988 with a Masters of Divinity.
Bert has served as an under-shepherd of Our Good Shepherd Jesus Christ in Zion and Trinity Lutheran, Harbine and Janssen, Nebraska; St. Paul's Lutheran, Sedalia, MO. and at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Nokomis, Illinois since November 1998.
Family Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 10:30 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Nokomis with burial in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Ellisville, Missouri. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm in Trinity Lutheran Church, Nokomis.
