Barbara "Bobbie" (Niehaus) Bangert

Barbara "Bobbie" Bangert, 86 of rural Nokomis, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Services for Bobbie Bangert will be held Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Fairview United Methodist Church at 3:00 PM.  Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM prior to the service.  Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home of Nokomis is assisting the family.

Barbara Bangert was born May 11, 1935 in rural Nokomis to Leslie and Freda (Wallace) Niehaus.  She was a graduate of Nokomis High School and attended business college for 1 year.  She and Kenneth C. Bangert were married August 15,1954.  He preceded her in death on December 7, 2014.  Bobbie was a homemaker, a member of the Farm Bureau and a lifelong member of Fairview United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by 2 infant daughters and grandson, Andrew Bangert.  She is survived by her children: Lori (Mark) Bilyeu of Assumption, Kent (Sharon) Bangert of Moweaqua and Kurt (Debbie) Bangert of Nokomis; grandchildren Lindsay (Tony) Croke, Heath Bilyeu, Katie (Kenneth) Mentzer, Brittany Ellis, Klint (Brittany) Bangert, Taylor (Ashley) Bangert and Morgan Bangert; great grandchildren, Audra, Trace, Avery, Emery, Eli, Levi, Layla, Miles, Korrine, Kit, Kade and Krew.
