Barbara Golitko Obituary

Barbara A. Golitko, 91, of Witt, Illinois passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Hillsboro Rehab and Healthcare in Hillsboro, Illinois.  Barbara was born October 18, 1931 in Witt, the daughter of  William and Mary (Kisak) Lowe.  She and Charles M. Golitko were married April 14, 1951 in Witt and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2019.  For many years she was the bookkeeper for the Witt School. She was a member of Women of Witt, Witt Lioness, President of Witt Library Board and Treasurer of Witt Museum.

Funeral Mass for Mrs. Golitko will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis at 10:00 AM.  Visitation will be Monday, February 13, 2023 from 4-7 PM at Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis.

She is survived her children: Charles A. (Sherrie) Golitko of Gillespie, Susan (Phil) Keppler of Hot Springs, South Dakota, Michael P. (Elizabeth) Golitko of Witt; brother William Lowe of Beaverton, Oregon; seven grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her sister Margaret Underwood.

Memorials are suggested to Witt Library or Witt Museum.
