April Lynn Getz

April Lynn Getz nee Spracklen, 76, of Ramsey, formerly of Edinburg died the morning of Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Pana Community Hospital.

Mrs. Getz was born on October 3, 1945 at Long Beach, Mississippi.  Daughter of Walter and Martha (Thompson) Spracklen. She grew up in the Nokomis area, graduating from Nokomis High School.  She went to work for the State and then for the family plumbing business.

She married Gary Getz on January 19, 1963.  They lived in Edinburg raising their 3 children, Kelly, Kimberly and Kristopher.

Mrs. Getz is survived by her husband Gary, son Kelly (Katherine) Getz, daughter Kimberly (Cary) Sparks, daughter-in-law  Amanda Getz, grandsons Clint (Sydney), Cole (Rylie) , Case, Kelby (Allison), Karson, Keagan, sister Shannon and numerous nieces, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Kristopher in 2007, parents, brother Lee Kermit Spracklen and grandson, Korey.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation and funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 1:30 PM at Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis.  Visitation will be from 11:30 AM to service time with a funeral service to follow.
