Cora Marie Pieper 94 of Hillsboro formerly of Nokomis and Litchfield died on Saturday January 30th, 2021 at Hillsboro Rehab and Nursing Center.
Mrs. Pieper was born July 25th, 1926 in Oconee, IL to George H. and Anna (Rawley) Kessen. She graduated from Pana Township High School with the class of 1944. She married Lawrence E. Pieper on March 2, 1946 at St. Patricks Church in Pana, IL.
She retired from Ronk Electric. She also worked at Hedlund’s Ski Factory and the Candy Kitchen.
She is survived by her daughter Carol (Steve) Ulrich of Litchfield, son George Pieper of Washington D.C., daughter-in-law Mona Pieper of Fair Grove, MO. Sisters Gertie Gross of Coulterville and Lenora Miller of Pana. Grandchildren Todd Graden, Toni (Mark) Spainhour, Anna (Steve) Certuche, Raelynn (Greg) Craley, Dawn Pieper, Melissa (Tommy) Grosenheider, and Megan (Zac) Ervin. She also is survived by 18 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter Jean Ann Graden, a son Larry Pieper and a sister Ruth Gross.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday February 6, 2021 at 10:30 am.in St. Louis Catholic Church, Nokomis, IL. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Nokomis.
