Homer William Delahunt 94, of Nokomis passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at his home in Nokomis.
Homer the son of Paul William and Elsie Mae (Jackson) Delahunt was born in Audubon Township, Illinois on March 5, 1926. He married Wilma Everly. They divorced. He married Deloris F. Henson in 1955, in Las Vegas. She survives as do children Marilyn J. Kunz of Hillsboro, IL, Carolyn (Howard) Tiemann of Litchfield, Kendall C. (Barbara) Delahunt of Newton, IL, Mark S. (Dawn) Delahunt of Glendale AZ., Sheila K. (Robert) Lyons of Phoenix AZ. Janelle (Kevin) Knisley of Witt.IL., 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, siblings Annabelle Vericker of Pekin, IL., Charles Delahunt of Taylorville, IL. Donna D. Arkebauer of Nokomis. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert Delahunt and sister Mary Lou McKee an son-in-laws Jack Kunz, Jim Kunz and Dan Wiedoff.
Homer served his country during W.W. II in the Army Air Corps. He then was in the Air Force for 20 years. He worked and retired as an agent for Farmers Insurance Co. Homer was a member of the Moose and Soroptimist Club.
Funeral services will be at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Saturday, January 23, at noon, with burial in Nokomis Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 am till service time.
