Edith Faye Petska, 88 of Coalton, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023 at her home with family by her side.
Funeral services for Edith Petska will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:30 P.M. until the time of service at 2:00 P.M. Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Edith Petska was born April 11, 1934 in Ramsey, Illinois to Rev. John and Sarah Frances (Dilbeck) Eller and they preceded her in death. She was a high school graduate and went on to become a CNA. She had worked for the Nokomis Dress Factory, sold Avon and worked many years as a cook at Rose Bud Cafe in Pana. She loved playing Bingo and had bowled for many years on ladies' leagues at Town Pump Bowl. She had traveled extensively with her sisters and she was a loyal Elvis Presley fan.
She is survived by her children: Cathy Adkins of Taylorville, Terry Davis of Taylorville, Diane Lucchi (Stan) Wideman of Bingham, Joe Lucchi of Pana, Bonnie (Jerry) Ross of Coalton, Jerry Davis of Coalton, Mary Davis of Pana and Sarah Hayes of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Gloria Romine of Maricooa, Arizona; sister, Evelyn Stevenson of Coalton; 35 grandchildren, 27 great grandchilden, 11 great great grandchildren, with 2 more on the way.
In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her sibling, Clifford Eller, Carl Eller, Arthur Eller, Roy Eller, Mildred Hicks and Madge Ray.
