Bernard "Chub" Clark Obituary

Bernard “Chub” Clark, 90, of Nokomis passed away at his home with his family by his side on February 4, 2024. 

Chub was born June 2, 1933, in Stonington, Illinois to Joseph and Mary (Howard) Clark.  He married his one and only love, Wilma Luttrell on May 26, 1962, and she preceded him death on June 20, 2013.  He went to work and retired from Material Service Rock Quarry in Nokomis Kaiser Fertilizer Plant in Harvel. 

He lived for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  An avid bowler, he loved fishing, camping, playing washers, cards and dice, rummage sales, mowing and could fix anything, especially anything with a motor. 

Chub is survived by his children, Andy (Josie) Clark of Vallejo, CA, Tom (special friend, Irene) of Nokomis, Ann (Bill) Klayer of Cincinnati, OH, Helen (Greg) Archibald of Nokomis, Betty (Darrell) Wallace, Nokomis and Keith (special friend, Stephanie) Clark, son-in-law Tom Davis of Elkton, KY and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Wilma and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Mary “Peanuts” Davis, brothers, John Clark, Bob Clark, Joe Clark, Floyd Clark and sister Irma Janssen.

Visitation for Mr. Clark will be Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 10: 00 AM until 12:00, PM at St. Louis Catholic Church, Nokomis.  Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Nokomis Cemetery. 

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105 or St. Louis Catholic Church, 311 South Elm, Nokomis, IL  62075.
