Ernest B. Pieper, 96, of Deer Park, Texas passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 12:10 P.M. at the Paramount Nursing Facility in Pasadena, Texas.

He was born on August 1, 1921 in Nokomis, IL, a son of the late Bernard and Mary (Whitmore) Pieper.

Ernest was a mechanic.

Mr. Pieper was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during WW II.

He married Doris Trelz and they later divorced. He then married Mary Ann Urban in February of 1970 and she survives in Deer Park, Texas.

He is also survived by his children, Doris (Denny) O’Malley of Nokomis, Donna (Darren) Quick of Horn Lake, MS, Debra Sarsany (fiancé John Moore) of Springfield, IL, Dawn (Bruce) Olson of Taylorville, IL, & Ann (Michael) Sanchez of Pearland, TX; grandchildren, Michelle Kimbro, Dennis & Dan O’Malley, Marty Siebert, Robin Dorris, Ryan Siebert, Jason Pieper, Johanna Holtz. Ryan Sarsany, Laura Tinsley, Rhett Sarsany, Janelle Stolte, Joe Shelton, Ashely Karnes, Carli Olson, Hannah Fry, Alicia, Matthew, Allison, Katherine & Brady Sanchez; 26 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Dennis Pieper & recently a great granddaughter, Ayden O’Malley who passed away 3 days prior.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis, IL. The Very Rev. Albert Allen, V.F. will preside. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 30, from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Nokomis, IL.
